Q: How does the Ortho Sleeper Sleeve™ actually prevent cramps?
A: Our proprietary technology focuses on the interaction of the nerves, muscles and blood flow of the lower leg.
Q: How long may I wear the Ortho Sleeper Sleeve™?
A: For as long as it feels comfortable. The primary purpose of the sleeve is for nocturnal (night time) leg cramp treatment and prevention. However it may also provide refreshing support when exercising, traveling, standing for long periods or treating mild edema.
Q: How does it relieve cramp pain in the foot as there is no material in contact with the foot?
A: A critical design that is incorporated into the Ortho Sleeper Sleeve™ is intended to influence certain nerves in the lower leg. Some of these nerves continue on into the foot. Influence said nerves in the lower leg and you may also influence them as they continue on into the foot. It took three years of intensive R & D to discover what influences were needed and where. It turned out to be a very sensitive and elusive equation indeed.
Q: When should I wear the Ortho Sleeper Sleeve™?
A: Before going to bed at night as a preventive measure. If not, put it on at the first sign of cramp pain symptoms to help stop the pain. Sometimes after a major attack occurs, it may help to stand and put some pressure on the ball of the affected foot for a minute or two.
Q: Is it easy to wear?
A: Yes. Unlike sports or medical compression sleeves it is easy to slip on or off due to being an entirely different design principal.
Q: Does one size fit almost everyone?
A: Our single size should be adequate for most people. If we find a demand exists for other sizes we will respond accordingly.
Q: Are there restrictions on outdoor wear?
A: No. The sleeve is a blend of quality synthetic materials and is not sensitive to hot or cold temperatures.
